The last 7 months have set my life on a roller coaster. Now, when I saw rollercoaster I mean this in the most positive way ever. I would never take these 7 months back for anything. I have done so many things for myself, I have met so many new friends and I’ve accomplished more goals then I ever thought I would have for myself. One of which was to start a woman’s bible study.
This thought has been on my heart since the beginning of Fall semester of ’08. Took me till Spring ’09 to get organized and really get things figured out about what God needed me to do. The bible study consist of 10 girls and one book, The Book of Romance; one heck of a book if you ask me.
My whole goal with this bible study is to empower and INSPIRE young woman to be in a Godly relationship where they feel encouraged by their significant other and just feel all around loved.
It’s crazy because the idea’s God was feeding me were so g’narly! At points I thought I wasn’t going to be able to keep up with myself, but yet God always made himself so present in those times.
So what do you get when you put a group of beautiful Godly woman and five Lubbock Photographer together? The Inspiring Woman Project!
The goal of this Project was to have the girls feel Inspired! Feel Beautiful! To feel like a super model! To take over the whole world! So that’s exactly what we did. Kristin Bednarz, Toni Spray, Betsy Lackey and myself took four beautiful young ladies out on the town for a little photo shoot.
I can’t even begin to explain the fun we had. Seeing the Inspiring Woman Project come together the way it did I am forever in debt to the photographers that helped out with making it happen.
Thanks for all your help ladies! And models we couldn’t have done it with out yall!
Be Inspired! You never know where it will take you or whom you will meet.

Cortney Russell of ::Cortney Russell Photography::
Cortney is my sidekick photog for sure. I met Cortney out at Texas Tech's campus in Junction, when we took Wyman Meinzer's photography class together. But that's a whole other blog in itself.
Since Junction, Cortney and I have done photo sessions together, shot weddings together, go to church/bible study together, and now our monthly photog meetings.
Love ya Cortney!

This is where my Friends live
I can't believe I have waited this long to visit my friend Alex, Heath, James and Aaron's house. This isn't your typical college house...I'm talking 8 guys live in this house. And no, this isn't a frat house...its much cooler/better!
But I thought this would be something cool to blog about because this house is so gnarly.

Shari Henson of ::Shari Henson Photography::
I'm so thankful for meeting Shari. Her passion and drive for photography is totally contagious. I believe she is the one that initially got all us Lubbock photogs together to start our monthly hang out sessions.
There were points during this session I would have to stop shooting because Shari would make some crazy funny comment and I would just be dieing laughing.
So today's blog is dedicated to my new friend Shari!

Now, let me tell you this...before the actual shoot, she was explaining to all us girl that she was nervous about being in front of the camera...::cough cough:: I call BS on her...because she totally owned it!
Love ya Brittany!

Casey, Aric, Courtney, Brittany and I went to the Southwestern Photojournalism Conference in Dallas, Texas. This girl is crazy talented and just a joy to be around. I was actually catching up on The City tonight as I was working on her photos and it clicked...She reminds me of Whitney!
