Hi. It's Grant. The 'unofficial' official blogger for the evening.
October has come and is almost gone but it isn't leaving without the "Second Annual Chili Fest and Pumpkin Carving Competition" taking place. We had chili and cornbread (which was delicious) and then we started carving our pumpkins. It was great being able to spend time with friends.
These weren't your traditional Jack-o-Lanterns. Oh no, no, no... these were legit. Grade A legit. We had no idea that they were going to turn out as good as they did but after 2 hours of intense carving we were pleased with the results.
Happy Halloween!
Jay Leno Stencil

The start of a 2+ hour carving session... no lie.
Notice how everyone is so intense with their concentration.

The Thornton Family ::Andrews, Texas::
I've finally had some time to sit and breathe. School, work, photography, and life have all become so busy. But being busy is a good thing, right?
Well, here is the family session from Andrews, Texas. I had the pleasure of hanging out with this family on an AMAZING beautiful Saturday afternoon. Did I mention that my boyfriend Grant came out for the first time to help out with the shoot? Well, he did, and what a job he did.
I bring you the Thornton Family! Oh, and a little preview of my indesign work I'm learning in my PR graphics class...I'm currently constructing my own logo, business card, letterhead and a 3/4 page ad :) So, here is my run at posting my work in a template I built in indesign.

Meg ::Senior Session::
Lubbock weather was a little weird this past weekend. Weird to the point where Meg and I decided to push back her photo shoot, and boy did it turn out for the best!
Not to hot, not to cold, and to top it all off...we had a sunset that was unbelievable! Made me feel like I was in Maui.

Tara's Turning 4
Around the same time last year I did a family session with the Mobley family, but the thing was...it was so dang cold, I think it was in the mid 50s with some wind chill of FREAKIN COLD! So when Kerry told me she wanted to do a session with Tara for her 4th birthday, better believe I was already praying for the weather to hold up, and not pull some crazy Lubbock weather change on us. We had a great session on Sunday, and I couldnt be happier with the way everything turned out.
One thing I like best while working with kids, is that they just "fall into themselves" that's where I get most of my inspiration for "posing" my clients. There is no work done on my part when I tell kids to go stand/sit somewhere; they completely take over the photo shoot.
Happy Birthday Tara!
